Volunteers who plan the annual conference are divided into officers, board of directors, board council, standing committees and divisions. All work together on the year-around-planning process for the spring event.
Current standing committee assignments include: Arrangements, Awards, Catering, Continuing Education Units, Exhibits, Printing & Mailing, Promotion and Publicity, Recruiting, Registration, Scholarship, Investments, Website and Site Committee..
Divisions who plan and execute the seminars include: Chemical, Construction, Emergency Management, Environmental Management, Fire Safety, Health Care, Industrial, Industrial Hygiene, Insurance, Occupational Health Nurses, Public Employer, Public Utilities, Security, Consultation Education & Training, and Transportation Divisions.
Volunteers involved in the Michigan Safety Conference organization agree that it is a rewarding experience that provides an invaluable opportunity to network and exchange information with safety and health professionals from across the state. |
